The Carcano "Balilla" rifle, with same caliber and manufacturing than the MODEL 91 and derivatives, was actually a bolt-action carbine, a shorter version of the M-91 rifle. It was intended as a training rifle and for the "Fascist Youth", but it also found use with the regular troops, due to its good accuracy, reliability and maneuverability. It features an integrated, underbarrel folding bayonet.<p> The CARCANO bolt-action rifles are said to be between the most accurate weapons of that kind... and of that era (old people which fought in the WW2, and which with I talked about that rifle, keep on saying that the CARCANO rifles were "able to hit a coin at 1 km of distance", and they probably are not so far away from the truth). Also, a CARCANO rifle was the weapon which was used for the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
