Re: Okay, the picture is blurry as hell...

I'm wondering how they got any sort of recoilless effect out of that without hurting the shooter... you couldn't. Obviously it can't fire quite like the normal rpg or use the exact same ammo.

Re: Gunkid to be released this year

Nah we had arguments with Gunkid here, I remember them clearly. Maybe you were on a hiatus or something PT.

Re: "Turbans" are no stupids!

I can't imagine how anyone after 1990 could think using an unencrypted data link for a remote control military vehicle, even if it's only the video.

It doesn't even have to be perfect or...

Re: Fire serpent!

Wow, total load of crap. If they are needing the look of specific government rifles to uphold authority... (Of course if they wanted to fix things they'd fight corruption...)

I'd bet the odds are...

Re: IAR vs. SAW

Basically what I've heard before, the M249's are wearing out and not getting appropriate replacement parts.

And by the SAW definition, you could argue the IAR is replacing the "SAW", because it...

Re: IAR vs. SAW

It's a small idea, or a lighter one. And more available.

What I'm saying is the Marines are looking for something lighter and more mobile while also less expensive and more widely deployed,...

Re: Another TRIVIA for the week!

That's just weird... I was busy researching the Baryshev system this week.

And I do think he was onto something with a 12.7mm system... a .50 caliber automatic on a bipod. Sure, single shot accuracy...

Re: CAA Pistol-Rifle Conversion

It looks fun and all, but I don't see how they maintain any worthwhile alignment between the barrel and the optics.

Re: This can't be good...

It was the name of the program, but it is generally accepted in the english speaking world as a definition for light machine guns which fire assault rifle class cartridges. Indeed, the nature of the...

Re: On the subject of H&K...

I'm a bit surprised with machined metal rail system, making at least part of it in polymer to save weight makes sense. I'd even suggest going in a Carbon 15 direction for the whole thing. As a PDW...

Re: ID These MG's

If the first one is really German WW2 era, it probably isn't .50 BMG, more likely 13mm or 15mm.

The second one, for some reason, looks to me like an attempt to turn a bolt action receiver into a...

Re: Why this doesn't f*****g surprises me?

Yea, and I think the guy's problem is that bribes have worked so often for him that he can't imagine why they wouldn't work. Any strong philosophical/political/religious fanaticism can destroy the...

Re: SIGARMS enters the AR-15 market!

It is possible it might be rationalized in a heavily urbanized european law enforcement market where even the extra range from !6" barrel is an uncommon need.

Still, even considering most police...

Re: Lettet Forsøgs submachine gun

It's either a brilliantly eccentric or utterly idiotic foregrip. I'm sure it didn't make it much past initial training attempts:

"All right men, now with your left hand, insert your magazines, ready...
