Them might as well having been new fresh recruits, or youngsters called for the Military Draft Service visit (I had to do it in 1003, it was abolished this year). When recruits enlist (or when drafted youngers went to the visit), they are medically and psychologically examinated and in the meanwhile they are made march and drill and things like that; but they wear civilian clothes and they are not deprivated of their mobile etc.
