I was thinking more of M-18, since there has been the gap from M-14 to M-16, and M17 is registered. They could use M-17 only if they would REALLY adopt the Bushmaster Bullpup! As for the "Ax" suffix, that stands for the modification/improvement number, so M17-A2 would literally be a military-adopted version of the Bushmaster Bullpup at its second or third generation. No, man.
