According to the United States Law, one has not the right to purchase, keep and bear arms if he/she:

#1 - Is under 18 years old for shotguns or rifles, 21 years old for pistols;


#2 - Is an alcohol abuser;


#3 - Is under indictment or information in any Court, or has been convicted, for a crime punishable with imprisonment exceeding 1 year;


#4 - Is a fugitive from justice;


#5 - Is an unlawful user or addict to a controlled substance, and/or has been adjudicated as a mental defective, and/or has ever been committed to a mental institution;


#6 - Is an illegal alien;


#7 - Has been discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions;


#8 - Has renounced to his/her U.S. citizenship;


#9 - Is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner;


#10 - Has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
