Remington nylon 66 in .22 Lr. and uses a tubular magazine in the butt stock. 1:6 right hand twist. Can fire shorts, but will probably jam.
Can be considered the precursor to the 545 and 547 models. Promoted as the first "all weather rifle"-- nylon of course refering to the plastic synthetic stock-- a first for it's time. Also advertised as one of the first self cleaning semi-autos.
Made primarily with brown stocks-- either light or dark-- a special edition was released some time later...or was supposed to be...featuring red plastic stocks. Only 25 were manufactured, making them one of the most hunted collector's pieces around. One sold at auction recently in excess to 55,000 dollars U.S.
One of my buddies has one the red stocks, won it off a guy in a poker game in Las Vegas back in 1972.

Nice to see that we are going back to talk about guns.
