My Family's NHS nightmare...
My Aunt in the UK- who is somewhat well-off- had a stroke last year.
She waited 8 weeks to see a specialist. While it is well-intended, introducing government bureaucracy to an already cumbersome system, and further curbing earnings while not curbing liability is a mistake. The free market will correct this if by no other means than by the damage to their intended customer base they do by overpricing their services. In essence, socialized medicine (and this is an opinion shared by Canada's former director of NHS) creates a three-tiered system rather than the single-tiered system it purports to create. At the bottom are the people who dutifully wait their turn. Above them are those who by simple virtue of being shrill, or by knowing how to game the system, have barged to the front of the line. Above all of them are those with the money to simply fly to America and get what they want. There's nothing too egalitarian or effective about waiting 8 weeks for a specialist after a stroke. You have an hour. Like P.J. O'Rourke said- "If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait till it's free!". Then there's the whole principle of allowing the government to choose my level and type of healthcare, and to examine my health records at all. I should be able to have whatever healthcare I want to spend my money on. Likewise, if I should be so foolish as to elect not to pay for healthcare at all, it should be up to me to do so rather than have it swiped from my paycheck each week in order to susbidize others who may have in fact elected not to pay for theirs either.

I own an SL8, it is not restricted in any way. It surprises me he couldn't bring in something that is almost exactly the same, but customs has the last say. I honestly do not reccomend trying to figure our laws. A good example is being able to own a VZ-58 or a PE90 but not an AK of any kind or a Sig 551.
