Wink Way too easy, maybe?

LIBRA A.S. SF-1 "Kraken"

The SF-1 "Kraken" has been conceived, and is produced in small quantities only upon request, by LIBRA A.S. (www.libraas.com), a company located in the Czech city of Jevišovice. It is intended as a weapon of traumatic less-lethan self-defense, for riot/crowd control, and to facilitate the apprehension of dangerous fugitives. It has been conceived as an extremely small dimension weapon for its category, so to ease concealed carry and prolongued handling.

The SF-1 "Kraken" can best be described as a pyrotechnic launcher, in the sense that it employs pyrotechnics to operate. The chamber opens in a top-break manner to load the ammunition that is to be launched, yet it has a slide-open cylinder, revolver-style, which is in fact truly a revolver cylinder, is removable, and loads with six .357-Magnum cartridges. Upon pulling the trigger, all six chambers of the cylinder are striked together, and all ammunition is fired at once.

The cylinder is meant to be loaded with .357-Magnum BLANK ammunition; the gases produced by the shot are all pushed forward towards the barrel, since the cylinder is sealed unlike in revolvers, and them are what actually "fires" the gun, propelling whatever's in the barrel outside of it. The barrel has a 59mm diameter, and is smoothbore. It can thus be loaded with several types of ammunition, even "improvised" (the manufacturing company takes tennis balls as an example). A specific 59mm "grenade" is manufactured by LIBRA A.S. for the SF-1 "Kraken"; it is a reusable plastic shell that can be either fired as it is, that is empty, or filled with a wide array of crowd-control payloads, including CS gas and others.

The SF-1 "Kraken" can be used for acoustic signaling, for less-lethal traumatic self-defense, and for crowd/riot control, and is meant to be used in direct fire, rather than in indirect fire like most artifacts launchers (although indirect fire is still the best choice when the weapon is loaded with its proprietary 59mm shell with riot control payload). It has a maximum range of 100 metres, a muzzle velocity of over 110 metres per second and a muzzle energy of 403 Joules, which rapidly decrease upon firing yet remaining around 227 Joules well after 30 metres; this ensures that whatever is "fired" out of the barrel, be it a tennis ball, a rubber or wooden baton, an improvised piece of ammo or the proprietary 59mm plastic shell, will still retain the stopping power to knock down an assailant without killing him, allowing for him to be subdued swiftly and without incident. High technology and high-quality materials are used in the manufacture of this artifacts launcher, to be sure that it will whitstand the stress of being used with all the possible types of improvised ammo.
