Question Can anybody cast a light over a situation in Czech Republic?

I was surfing some gun-manufacturers website this morning, and stumbled upon the website of CZ-STROJIRNA S.R.O.; once the content was up there and running, but now the main webpage only says that:
Quote:

The text is obviously badly translated in English from Czech (this I suppose because Czech Republic has fairly liberal gun laws and I have had no indications that things have changed, but also because, if you take a look at the rest of the page, you'll see it is generally written in bad English). But looks like, in my understanding, that a law was passed in Czech Republic forbidding the "open" advertisement of guns and ammunitions (nothing strange, Italian law forbids "open" advertisement of alcoholic and tobacco products).

They could have cheated the law, if they wanted to, simply by putting up a new website under the .COM domain, maybe putting it up on an American server. But I don't think it is the point.

Because the website of CESKA ZBROJOVKA UHERSKY BROD A.S. (CZ), which -IS- hosted on a .CZ domain (thus in Czech Republic, and theoretically subdued to the above-mentioned "Law 25/2006"), has ALL its contents up and running in both its English and Czech webpages.

Anybody has a clue of what's going on down there?

Do you know czech or have translation capability, then check out this link:
http://www.sukl.cz/cs22reklamalp/cs22odpovedi.htm
or here
http://www.aka.cz/pdf/novela_zakona_...25-2006_Sb.pdf

Its all in Czech, dont know...

Maybe someone else?

According to Act 40/1995 and 288/1995 on Firearms and Ammunition (the Firearms Act), Section 6
Here as Word Doc

Advertisements of firearms and ammunition
27) may be distributed solely among
a) professionals and businessmen involved in manufacturing and sale of firearms and ammunition
b) at the premises where the firearms or ammunition are manufactured, offers, sold, used or displayed or where
contracts for supply of firearms and ammunition are being concluded;

c) in special publications and periodicals 2) focusing on general problems of firearms and ammunition and in other printed
materials designated for dealers in and holders of firearms and ammunition.

Maybe they violated a law and beeen shutdown?

Well, if you're not up in something good (in that case let me know your pusher, please), then you'd better check your PC for Malware infection.
