The name "Bergmann" rings any bell?

Question Re: Trivia Smg

It looks Bergmann but the receiver is not right and what caliber is that, looks like tokarev? Ok my guess would be some kind of modern conversion la Vollmer from a MP-28.

Lightbulb Read the label!

It says "DCB Shooting 2007". I think this is an "Edmond Special"...

This is very special, I came across it when collecting historical datas for the Bergmann MP18-1.

The caliber is 7.63x25 mm Mauser
It has Bergmann roots
80+ years old

Question Just a question...

I thought you couldn't legally own machineguns (full-automatic/selective-fire weapons) in France...

Still think it is a MP-28 (Perhaps with the designation MP-28 II) Schmeisser's pat. - Built in belgium between the wars by Pieper Est.
Perhaps with later modifications, not even close?

Besides 7,63mm & 9x19mmP the MP-28 were made in 7,65mm (.32acp), 9x23mm Largo Bergmann-Bayard & .45acp.

This is not a MP28, the mag funnel is vertical on the trivia piece.
Not made in Belgium;
