Default Beretta Mx4 Storm carbine

PT, do you have a picture of the new, selective-fire model of Cx4 Storm, called Mx4? Which, by the way, should be called submachine gun, not the carbine.

I've found two photos of the new Beretta's submachine gun:

Talking They kept on denying with everybody that it ever existed...

... until MY MAGAZINE shown it first!

First lot, for an overall amount of 25 million (40000 pieces) is to be delivered to the Indian government in 2011/2012. I don't trust this decision though, since Indians are well known (Israelis and South Africans have experience with that!) to cancel contracts all of a sudden on false "bribery" statements, refusing to pay and retaining the samples already shipped (local laws allows them to) and then reverse-engineering them at the OFB factories and manufacturing them in situ.

This is not quite true - the information I obtain said the amount is 34,500 Mx5s.

For sure. Every national company guards their secrets and has some connections with insiders, which first got the best informations

But in fact a few pictures plus some details about barrel length and weight are just enough. Which means, the informations at your website are quite in-depth. The only interesting thing for me was location of the two-position fire selector (above trigger), and question if Beretta relocated the bolt-catch release lever (no). The rest is the same as in the Cx4, even the fixed buttstock, which in the world of folded stock is rather unusual. And the Mx4 as a relatively simple blow-back submachine gun is not very interesting. At least for me.

By the way, is it true, that Italian Army signed a contract for 12,000 ARX 160s in late 2010? This is a good news! I've seen some model at SHOT with Lancer magazine, hidden behind the glass in the civilian Beretta section.

The selector in the Mx4 Storm is a push-button style, very retro.

Yep, the Italian Army has serious intentions in adopting the ARX-160. The rifle was not only under glass, it was readily reacheable in a small area attached to the main Beretta stand.
