I have the V1 version with a stainless slide, I got it new in the early 1996.
One year after, the first HK UTL was for sale in my country but the price was the same than the pistol: too expensive for my use.

Default L'Etat vous permit a porter un pistol?

Carry piece, Roger?

Nice gun. Mine cost 802.50 US in 1994 (!), and the UTL was 275.00 US.

My how things have changed...both are dramatically cheaper today.

Carry piece, Roger?"

Only in a shotting range (sporting title). At home weapons are in a safe.
Carrying arms is prohibited for civilians.

Default Quel malheureux

You have my condolences, copin.

Are you allowed to have an unlocked handgun in your own house? As a demi-Juif (Un "Mischling", and also a dual national), I'm kind of pre-disposed towards the free ownership of guns, so I wonder if as a European you are allowed to maintain a firearm in your own home for the purpose of self-defense.

I have lived in Europe as recently as 1992, so I am curious about the firearms rules as applied there.
