Default About the ARPAD-600...

All Franchi products!!!
Or the site's author was confused with the swiss caliber, or he's wrong...

The ARPAD-600 was a FRANCHI product just as much as it should have been the HK-G41 if adopted by the Italian Armed Forces. The ARPAD-600 was a SWISS weapon, designed by W+F (that's the "mark" of the Swiss state-owned Federal Arsenals) which FRANCHI should have been given manufacturing license if it would have resulted successful in awarding a contract.

About this old military review, could you scan some pages? The "Spas-16/Spas-410" would particularly be interesting...

Default Grip position

It looks like it puts the stock lower on the shoulder.

Recoil control?

"The PAW20 uses a unique design to accommodate the recoil of the 20 mm round: the pistol grip is placed on the right of the frame to allow the weapon to recoil past it into the butt."

Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be interchangeable from right t0 left handed at all. It's not molded right for that. Which is too bad, it seems to me that the pistol grip trigger section has to be handled by remote anyway right? It should be a very simple matter to make the remote swappable from one side to the other.

I don't know--
From the last pic, it appears the trigger group is independant from the rest of the mechanism and it might be instead of just swapping the grip, you replace the complete assembly.
From studies and personal "experiments" on shotgun recoil and point of impact on scatter guns, I really like this design for insuring a closer line of sight and enabling users to brace for the heavy shock.
