As for what I know up to now, its developmental name is CZ-805 and it will be launched sometimes around 2009/2010, when it is expected to enter service within the Czech Armed Forces. The old CZ-2000 project, longtime delayed and based on early-1980s technology, has been abandoned in December 2007.
As for the beginning of this year (2008), the typical answer from CZ to requests of informations about the CZ-805/CZ-S805A was "Sorry, we can not give you any information about CZ-805 and don´t exist date yet when we will give some information about."

Nope, the name is CZ S805. The CZ805 is different assault rifle:

In my opinion it will be adopted in this year and the first batch will come to the Czech Army in 2009. By the way, Czech soldiers testing now some CZ S805 assault rifles.

Is that mag well STANAG-compliant (can it take M-16 mags)?

BTW, I see the magazine well itself is connected to the rifle frame in a manner similar to the one of the HK G-36 or the Cobb MCR rifle series... is the mag well itslef modular (can it be replaced with another one, i.e. to change rifle caliber)?

You can change the magazine well. Now it is compatible with the G36 magazine, but there are magazine wells to M16 magazine. In the B version of the CZ S805 the assault rifle can be fed from vz.58 magazines and AK magazines.

I like that grenade launcher, looks like it's ambidextrous.
